1. Do I need a financial plan?
“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.”- Lewis Carroll
Partnering with our Financial Planners to develop a financial plan will help clarify what is important to you financially. By fully understanding your needs and goals, our advisors work with you to develop and implement your roadmap for success.
2. Should I invest in a Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) or a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)?
Every person’s financial situation is unique and made up of a combination of individual goals and financial situations. Through an understanding of your current financial situation and your short and long term goals, your Financial Planner will be able to provide a plan to maximize the benefits of these important tax advantaged plans.
3. Should I pay down my mortgage or invest?
Most people want to rid themselves of debt as soon as possible. However, there are many important issues to consider, such as mortgage rate, investment rate, tax situations, short and long term cash flow, mortgage prepayment privileges, etc. Your Financial Planner will help you navigate the issues and come up with a strategy that best utilizes your available dollars.
4. Are mutual funds right for me?
Mutual Funds have a long list of benefits: professional management, in depth research and analysis, cost control, and diversification. Once your Financial Planner has a full understanding of your goals, financial situation, time horizon, and risk tolerance, then a suitable investment strategy can be recommended that may or may not include mutual funds.
