Westoba Credit Union is proud to be a sponsor at this year’s Brandon National Indigenous Peoples Day.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is held on the 21st of June each year. This day has been set aside on summer solstice, the longest day of the year, to honour Indigenous peoples and their contributions to Canada.

The Brandon National Indigenous Peoples Day will celebrate by hosting activities throughout the day at Riverbank Discovery Centre. They start their day at 12:00 p.m. and will host activities on the grounds until dark. The day will begin with a cleansing of the grounds ceremony, tipi teachings, children’s games, crafts, cultural displays, opening ceremonies, square dancers and a talent show!
