Enter to be featured in our 2020 Calendar!

From June 14th to July 15th, Westoba’s 2020 calendar contest “Wild Manitoba” is running for members and non-members.

The “Wild Manitoba” 2020 calendar contest will showcase pictures of wild animals around Manitoba, taken by our local Manitoban photographers. The selected thirteen winning pictures will be featured in our upcoming 2020 calendar. Winners will receive a canvas print of their winning picture as a prize.

Tips for taking a winning picture

  • Examples of what qualifies as a “wild animal”:
    • Bear
    • Deer
    • Bees
    • Butterfly
  • Examples of animals that do not qualify as “wild animals”:
    • Dogs
    • Cats
    • Hamsters
    • Farm Animals (such as goats, cows, horses, etc.)
  • It is recommended not to have any people in the picture that you submit to the contest.
  • It is recommended your picture be taken on a horizontal position and to be an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Contest Rules Summary

Below important contest rules entrants need to follow for a picture to qualify:

  • Entry must be received between June 14th, 2019 – July 15th, 2019.
  • One entry per person.
  • Only wildlife (see tips above).
  • No watermarks.
  • Include a brief caption for you photo that tells us a story (Example: “Deer crossing the street! (Clear Lake, MB)”.
  • The picture has to be taken in the province of Manitoba
